ChordCompanion lets the user design chord on a virtual guitar neck. It can analyse chord and suggest names for them or it can display chord formation from chord names. All this is done using a musical theory engine, not a database of known chords. Therefore, there are no limitations on chord formations that can be processed or suggested. ChordCompanion runs on 68k or PPC Macintoshes (two separate programs - keep the one you need - saves space on your hard disk). Requires system 7.0 or higher. Thank! By incorporating QuickTime Video, sound, AppleEvents, "Hot Picture Buttons" and more, documents that you create can become an exciting multi-media experience for your readers. No other software is needed by the reader to open, print, and fully experience your documents. The "viewer engine" is embedded into the documents to make distribution and use a simple and easy process. Depending on the optional capabilities you save with your documents, the actual size of the documents can be very small. Companies such as Federal Express, GTE, Hewlett Packard, IOmega, Adobe, Apple Computer, and Aladdin use DOCMaker to distribute disk-based documentation with their products. Flexibility and ease of use make DOCMaker the better choice for multi-media document distribution. DOCMaker is much easier and economical to use for the author of documents, and infinitely less complicated for the end user of the documents than the alternatives. Award winning publications such as MacSense and Inside Mac Games are produced Monthly using DOCMaker and distributed electronically and on CD Rom. Many users have found DOCMaker very helpful at their workplaces where networks are utilized because the documents are self executing and can be read by anyone connected to the network without requiring expensive software and without sacrificing server disk space. DOCMaker gives you the ability to use multiple fonts, styles, and color. You may name frequently used text formats and use them whenever needed. QuickTime movies and sound may be attached to "Hot Pictures" which act like buttons within the document. Other picture actions include the ability to send AppleEvents so that you can attach World Wide Web home pages to document pictures. When these pictures are clicked on, the users web browser may be invoked to go to a specific page on the Internet! Speed and ease of use has not been compromised and we hope that DOCMaker will become a familiar and frequently used part of your Macintosh software library. And it runs on any Mac, 68k or PowerPC, with System 7.0 or later. No more waiting for Copeland or Rhapsody. Even in Mac OS 8, if you hold down a menu in the Finder, processes will not continue in the background. With Respond!, you can be holding down a menu (particularly useful with Sticky Menus in Mac OS 8), or clicking in a the zoom or close boxes (or the WindowShade collapse box in Mac OS 8), or dragging a window or the thumb of a scroll bar, and processes will continue in the background. Mac OS 8 attempts to implement live scrolling, but it only works in Finder windows, and does not allow background processing to continue. Respond! includes a Live Scrolling option which fully enables Live Scrolling for applications that don't implement it themselves and also allows both foreground and background processing to continue when scrolling with any part of the scroll bar, including the arrows. Respond! also includes the option to use Live Window drag. When this option is turned on, the full window, not just the outline, will be dragged, and both foreground and background processing will continue, meaning the window itself will be updated as its being dragged around! For example, you can drag around an mp3 player window and watch as it continues playing and updating the time counter while moving. Wolf Technologies, Inc.
