Go into the active system folder. 2. Create a new folder. Name it 'Finder Folder' (without the quotes). 3. When you wish to de-activate this system folder, simply move the Finder into this folder. Explanation: One way to activate/de-activate a system folder is to separate (or not) the System file and the Finder file. At this point, I would move/clean install another system of choice to this hd. I would then prepare this new system folder in the same way. To switch between the two (or more), simply move the Finder file of all the systems that you want not active into their respective Finder Folders. Close them up to record this to the system, then move or make sure that the Finder file of the system folder that you want active is ourside of the Finder folder (at the same level as the System file. Hope this is of value. -Rick Schultz ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 24 Apr 2000 22:46:02 -0700 From: "David J. Fischer" Subject: DSL Connection for two computers I'm about to have DSL installed on Saturday. Is there a hardware device that will allow me to connect two computers (an old PowerPC and a GS laptop?) I don't want to necessarily run them simultaneously, nor do I want to make the old PC a "server." But if I use it as a server, can I connect the laptop using AppleTalk? Both are running System 9.0.4. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Apr 2000 15:58:06 +0000 From: Normand Beaudoin Subject: The best project management software??? Could someone tell me what is the best project management software on any platform and particularly on Mac. I heard about "Time Line", "FastTrack" and "Microsoft Project". Are there others???? I known, it would has been much easier if I had asked about the meaning of life or about the theory of quantum mechanics fused with general relativity... Anyway, every information will be appreciated. Thank you very much. That's all, hope it works out. -- --------------------------------------- Arne Kuilman - Apple Evangelist Axel Development & Support Apple solutions provider in Amsterdam. arne@axel.nu http://www.axel.nu --------------------------------------- Mac is life, the rest is just details. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Apr 2000 12:46:46 -0500 From: Michael Cook Subject: Windows 98 driver for Personal LaserWriter 300 Dear Info-Mac folks, I have an Apple Personal LaserWriter 300 that I would like to use with both my Mac and a Windows 98 system. Does Windows 98 come with a driver for the Laserwriter? If not, where can appropriate drivers be obtained? Are there any cable considerations? Thanks for info, Michael Cook MLCook@collins.rockwell.com -------------------------------- --Info-Mac-Digest-- End of Info-Mac Digest ******************************
