Copying roulette

Warning!

This game of roulette shows you, that if you keep on betting, you will eventually lose all your money. It is wiser to stop playing while you are ahead. Sometimes, to make a profit, you have to play a large number of rounds. In a real casino, you may not have time to play enough rounds to make a profit.

How To Play

To start roulette, run the command,

      roulette

Spin the Wheel

Press enter to spin the roulette wheel.

Reset

Press the letter r to reset the game.

Termination

Press the letter q to quit the game.

Functions

There are two functions for setting game parameters. Press the page down and page up keys to change the function.

The functions are:

Type of Bets

Press the right and left arrows to change the betting type. The down and up arrows change the square for each betting type.

Betting Amount

The down and up arrows change the amount for each bet.

Display

roulette shows the menu on the left of the screen. On the right of the screen, are the running balance, the amount won and lost, the total number of bets, and the last spin of the wheel.

Performance

roulette sleeps in between key strokes to allow other programs to run while you are playing the game.
