2002-07-23 -+- floris lambrechts -+- floris-(at)-linufocus-(dot)-org -+- Are you sure you have to restart your computer to receive faxes?
One of the nice things about Linux is that you don't have to reboot as often as e.g. in Windows - it should be possible to configure the fax stuff without rebooting! -+- 62.58.98.129 = Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530

2002-08-29 -+- Mike -+- boss01@antonius.net -+- Hi,
efax also should have the option to mail the recieved fax to an e-mail account. For this option one should use the faxmail command. I have not succeeded to get this up and running. Any suggestion? -+- 193.173.88.69 = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT 5.0)
2002-10-02 -+- jpat -+- -+- Seeking guidance and direction on addressing performance problems when sending and receiving fax (using Rightfax) via Exchange email (using Outlook) on a remote client.
We have persistent connection (approx 8 people using 256Kb frame connection)to the remote location, but are encountering slow performance regularly when opening/forwarding/printing/deleting a 20 page fax from Outlook.
We are experimenting using different TIFF formats and PDF.
Any way of speeding this up? Any way of compressing?
Appreciate any help that you can offer.

2003-03-17 -+- Gijsbert Claas -+- g.claas@net.hcc.nl -+- I tried to recieve a fax with efax, but the transmission(s) was not sucessful.
First i modified everything as you mentioned in your article.
Under the directory /var/spool/fax/incoming_fax I received the faxes -- the File-Viewer shows many horizontal lines, but nothing readable.....
(I use RED HAT LINUX 8.0, and a 33600 bps Fax Modem Texas Instruments V.34+ FAX OK OK in class 2.0 on /dev/ttyS0). The sending fax does not get a signal that the fax was received and gives an error. I'm convinced that the fax has arrived.
Can you tell me what i did wrong?
